We are a pet friendly chalet, we accept 2 pets per stay at Le Riou.

Our chalet is on the edge of the Bourge National Park with views up to La Sambuy mountain. The house was constructed in the winter of 1970 and is a traditional wooden chalet in a traditional Savoie style.

The house is an upside-down house, there is a twin bedroom with a bathroom, garage, and separate toilet.

Upstairs is an open planning living room/kitchen with a wood-burning stove. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven and stove top as well as a microwave and fondue machine. There are 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom. There are two terraces one from the living room and a terrace that both bedrooms have doors leading to. We have a large garden on all sides of the property. It is fenced on 3 sides.

This house is located up a mountain, so in winter you are required to have 4 snow tyres to access it, if you do not have a 4WD then you will need snow chains.

About Le Riou Chalet

Welcome to our little hamlet called Glaise, there are about 15 houses based here. We are very lucky to have the Chocolatier Daniel Botte based a 2 minute walk up the road. The downstairs of his house is converted into a quant little chocolate shop, which is all hand-made, So if you like artisan french chocolate this could be the house for you!

There is a goat farm 1km down the road, which you can go buy cheese from in autumn and winter as in summer, the farmer moves to her chalet at La Sambuy.

The nearest towns to us Faverges (7 mins drive, 45 mins on foot), Albertville (25 mins drive).

The house is on the edge of the Bauges, you can walk into the forest about 5 minutes away, 45 mins from La Saisies ski station and 20 mins from Lake Anncey, 45 minutes to Anncey town.

There is mobile WIFI at the property, we also get good phone signal at the property.
